Development of international cooperation
On November 8, during the 2nd day of BRCDGV the leaders of the regional state administration invited foreign delegation of representatives of India, Poland and Great Britain for an official meeting establishing and developing international cooperation. Head of Ternopil Regional State Admainistration, Mr. Ihor Spole, stressed on the importance of development of cooperation between Ukraine and India and noted that both sides are working to open up new destinations and markets for multi-industry collaboration. Ukraine’s economic cooperation with the Republic of India opens new prospects for cooperation in both educational and business spheres. Ihor Sopel – Head of Administration, informed foreign partners that more than two and a half thousand foreign students have chosen Ternopil universities for higher education. Almost half of them are students from India. Ternopil region authority is interested in increasing the number of foreign students who will receive quality education in Ukraine and after returning to their countries – will promote information about Ternopil region and Ukraine as a whole. Representative from India expressed interest in development cooperation in the field of education, IT, electronic spheres. The parties agreed on the development and intensification of cooperation.
The meeting with Mr. Serhiy Nadal, Ternopil City Mayor, also confirmed the openness and the will of the cooperation in a field of education as well as business and strength regional ties.
- Ukraine is the largest country wholly in Europe strategically located on EU borders, it offers long-term opportunities in a broad range of sectors, many of them involve co-operation with Ukrainian companies. In addition it’s a convenient start-up location for the CIS. Here are just some of the benefits of doing business in this country: highly educated workforce, low labor costs, good natural resources etc.
- It has a broad industrial strong base in ferrous metals and chemicals. This includes much of the former Union of USSR space and rocket industry and a well-developed defense and security sector. This country is a major producer of different agricultural products as well.
- According to the World Bank since 2010 Ukraine has done more to improve its business climate than any post-communist country (CEE+CIS).
- Ukraine is going through dynamic changes and there are serious efforts underway to make Ukraine a more accessible place to do business. This changes and growth cannot go further without opportunity to built better educational and business envioroment and to establish good international collaboration.
